Unfortunately I've had a shocking experience with Realter. I used them to manage my property while out of the country. Six months in and I've just learned today that my tenant is moving out in eight days time. I've had no contact from them about this, despite sending them an email a week ago (which was ignored, even when I called from overseas asking for a reply) . The only reason I now have found out is because a friend went into the office in person on my behalf. As far as I can see they have made no effort to fill the tenancy. Over six months I have had ONE payment of rent that was both on time and for the correct amount. Every other month I have had to have my contact in the UK speak to them (as my emails do not get replies). I know this was not the tenant at fault as he paid 6 months rent to Realter up front. Oh, I have also found out that they have not inspected the property once in the time they have been managing it. I honestly do not know what I've been paying them for. I am extremely disappointed in the service, or lack thereof, that I received.
Had an appalling experience with realter in dumfries. Through no fault of our own we were no longer able to move to a property we put a deposit down for and legally we are entitled to our deposit back from realter which they agreed to. After numerous promises for it to be paid back into our account we are still waiting for the money to be transfered. I will never be using this agency again.
