friendly staff old facilities nice hot showers

Lovely place. We were hesitant after reading reviews but it wasn't as bad as expected. Yes the toilets/showers are in need of an update and family rooms would be handy but considering they don't charge much we can't really grumble. We were a party of 13 and had three pitches. The kids and us had a lovely time despite the weather not being great. The food at Alfred's bar & bistro was lovely and a good price but the people serving could do with a lesson in customer service and learn not to have an attitude. Overall, our 6 days were very enjoyable.

Told pitches were flat (NOT) Toilets are a let down. As for the free fishing, the pond is totally chocked with weed and lilies if you put a line out you"d be lucky to get it back.

My wife and I were there for two nights camping. Some parts on a bit of a slope, otherwise a great campsite, plenty hook up points. Showers had plenty hot water, pub on site which was reasonably priced, didn't try the restaurant, however, we've booked in again for this weekend.

Booked into the park for 4 night in June. Easy to find and shown to a spot for our camper. This area was on a bit of a slope but nothing too major. Plenty hook up points. Camp was pretty quiet with a mix of caravans, tents and people in lodges. Toilets were clean and there were plenty in the block. Only thing was that some of the taps at hand basins were not working. There were also cubicles to was in but no door or curtain which would have been better for privacy. Plenty showers and they were clean and hot. Washing up area adequate but a bin would have been good. Shop was bit limited on stock. The bar and bistro was only open at weekends which was disappointing as we thought we could have had a few meals there. Nothing was mentioned about this on website. Decent bus service nearby, the stops are about 10 mins walk. Lovely views of hills from campsite. Enjoyed the peace and quiet the time we were there. Staff were pleasant and helpful. In reception there were information about the area . Enjoyed our stay.
