A place that brings out strong emotions. A great poet, one of my mother's all time favourites. It makes this corner of the world a very special place.

This is a fitting memorial to Scotland's favourite poet. Worth a visit as it's beautifully kept. Pity the interior isn't more visible through the railings. The mausoleum is in one corner of this atmospheric cemetery with many other ancient burials. Burns's contemporaries and friends tombs are marked with blue plaques. His original burial site is here too.
