Went in for car service and MOT. In at 9.30am and told it would be done by mid afternoon. Returned to wait for my car at 1.30pm. Car sent elsewhere for its MOT at 1.30pm. returned at 6.30pm. Felt that they couldn't care less as it was a prepaid service/MOT. Had new wipers fitted to the front. Drivers side didn't touch the screen for most of the wipe. Had to take the car back. Told I should get Honda wipers for my CRV. Why did they agree to change them and as they didn't work properly, how did it pass the MOT. What a waste of time.

Didn't really find the information a lot of help to be honest. The guy said there isn't any difference between the car (2 yrs old) we sat in and the new ones coming out. When there were obvious differences. Just didn't think it was helpful at all

First experience of Arnold Clark and it will be the last.Car was damaged between test drive and hand over, fobbed off it wasnt despite having pictures from when it was test driven (surprisingly without damage). What made it worse was the lack of management support for the poor staff. One manager in question wouldnt leave his office or speak to us despite brushing past us to see said damage on several occasions, passing messages on to his staff from the office. Disgraceful. Solution offered but involved jumping all over the place when it wasnt my issue. Generally, a lack of customer service, lack of ownership of problems with zero management back up for the staff. Great sales team backed up by an extremely unhelpful duty manager.

Another satisfying visits to the Locharbriggs depo.

Update: 18 August 2018 - Despite the prompt, reassuring response from Lynne, no contact had been made by either the sales or general manager at the branch or the customer service department. The car remains at one of their branch since 05 July 2018 without a replacement, while we make payments towards the car and insurance. This experience highlights what truly lies behind the false sense of security of the main dealer and the Arnold Clark brand.Original review : 21 July 2018We were sold an unreliable car riddled with a multitude of dangerous faults from day one. A car with a cut in the tyre wall and worn track rod ends was sold to be driven 250 miles on the motorway. Once on the motorway, there was strong steering wheel vibration. Soon at a junction the handbrake was found to be not functioning at all and rolled back or drove in reverse effortlessly with the handbrake engaged. Soon enough, the washer pump, the ABS ring needed replacing. The rear wheel hub was corroded too and had to be replaced. Whilst still dealing with the rear hub, the clutch failed. The clutch fault was diagnosed as an unknown leak in the system and repressurised. The clutch lost pressure again and after 16 days at the garage, the master cylinder replaced and informed the clutch fault was most likely fixed now. Following this fix, the car wouldn't drive over 10mph as the throttle is unresponsive. None of this fills me with any confidence in this unreliable, unfit car with very dangerous faults. Minor faults such as a non functioning A/C or temporarily fixed broken door handles, touched up paint flaking off, lack of tracking and balance, brake backing plate fitted incorrectly etc were not even ever complained of. The car is from the year 2009 with 50k miles. However, dangerous faults on a car not fit for purpose and of unsatisfactory quality cannot be down to the car being old. Arnold Clark chose to sell it and it should have been thoroughly inspected and faults rectified. The General Manager, Harry promised to explore the options of Refund or a fair part exchange. However, when contacted later, refused to speak and asked to deal with George Clark, the service manger. The service manger informed there was nothing they would do any further and we must accept the car. Further calls to customer services or the service manager resulted in unecessary distress and no resolution. The service manager refused to take the calls and we were left with having to speak to the sales executive, who decided to just hang up instead of passing the message to the service manager. The car spent over a month at the garage out of the 4 months we had it and no replacement was ever arranged. Instead we were left in a lot of emotional distress and stress of calling the garage and the dealership every day asking for the manager and going through lengthy process of explaining the situation. We continue to not have the use of the car and when we do, it results in dangerous near accident situations. The car was purchased on credit we continue to make the payments along with the insurance payment for a car we can't even use, while walking and taking public transport despite owning a car. The dealership doesn't really communicate any longer and we were advised to take it to the small claims court.
