simply the best bed and breakfast we stayed at lovely and clean they'll do anything they can to make your stay a great experience breakfast is fantastic as are the couple who own and run the lodge we have been going now for the last 13 years it's brilliant
Built in the 1860's, Torbay Lodge Guest House is set within the quiet conservation area of Dumfries town centre, 2 minutes' walk from the Train Station.Nice place in a nice town. Loved the building and the room.It was very clean. I liked the stripped down lines and clear decor of the accommodation and that he was able to safely store my bicycle. My room was not "en suite" but the shower and toilet were nearby, so no problem. Handy for the station and local cycle path network, which is amazing In Dumfries. The room was spotless with decent WiFi and amenities. Breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Loved everything about Torbay Lodge. Derek & Suzi couldn't be more prepared! Very clean, welcoming. Delicious breakfast. LOVED our room. Whole place is very quiet & peaceful. Wonderful neighborhood & conveniently located/easy walk to town & train station! Hope to return some day!
My first visit to the Torbay b&b but It won't be my last. It's a very clean, warm and welcoming b&b. Fantastic breakfast along with a high standard of service provided by the owners. The decor in some areas of the building my seam a bit dated, but that doesn't mean that it's not got some life left in it. I shared room 6 on the top floor with a colleague, and we couldn't find fault with it. The room had its own tv, hairdryer, ironing facilities and access to free wifi. We will be booking it again in future.
A way out of town but right at the sea. We watched the air show overhead and wandered the walks along the front - Was good stay
